About Our Facility
The American Cancer Society in Marshfield, WI serves as a home away from home, free of charge, for adult cancer patients and their caregiver. Hope Lodge, a non-medical facility, offers a sense of community and comfort to cancer patients who must travel to Marshfield to receive lifesaving cancer treatment, typically not available in their home community.
‘Giving Hope a Home’ is a cable production of the American Cancer Society Hope Lodge Marshfield, featuring the programs and services of the American Cancer Society. Co-Hosts Hope Lodge Manager, Joleen Specht, Marshfield Clinic Medical Oncologist Dr. William Hocking, and Hope Lodge Admin. Asst., Jewel Quelle discuss subjects and answer questions related to the free lodging program, cancer news and information, and available resources.

Hope Lodge Marshfield opened its doors to guests in March 2003. Since then, we have provided over 55,000 overnight stays - cost free - for over 13,000 cancer patients and their caregivers.
Saving Cancer Patients and their Caregivers an estimated $6 Million!
Marshfield Hope Lodge is staffed 24/7 by American Cancer Society employees consisting of the following:
· Hope Lodge Manager - Monday - Friday
· Administrative Assistant - Monday - Friday
· Night and Weekend Supervisors - Alternating
· The Lodge is also assisted greatly by many wonderful volunteers throughout the year. Some volunteers are committed to weekly tasks while others help as the need arises.
Altogether our volunteers number well over 140 with some 30 being active at least monthly. In 2013, our volunteers accumulated over 3,300 hours.
