William D. Novelli

William Novelli is a professor in the McDonough School of Business at Georgetown University. William teaches in the MBA program and created and leads the Global Social Enterprise. From 2001 to 2009, William served as CEO of AARP. Prior to AARP, William was president of the Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids, where he now serves as chair of the board. William also served as executive vice president of CARE, the international relief and development organization. William is a recognized leader in social marketing and social change and has managed programs in cancer control and diet and nutrition, among many others. William has served on the American Cancer Society Board of Directors since 2017.
