For Funeral Directors

Sunflower

As a funeral director, you see firsthand how cancer affects millions of people each year – those diagnosed and battling the disease, those who have lost their fight with cancer, and the friends and family members who are left to cope with their loss.

The American Cancer Society and funeral directors work together to help families cope with the loss of a loved one to cancer. And we continue to share the goal of increasing public awareness about cancer prevention and early detection so more people can stay well.

In support of our goal, the American Cancer Society provides funeral directors free information and resources to share with friends and families who have lost a loved one to cancer.

NATIONAL FUNERAL DIRECTORS ASSOCIATION

Since 2004, the National Funeral Directors Association (NFDA) and the American Cancer Society have worked together to create a world with less cancer and more birthdays. One of the important ways that the NFDA partners with the American Cancer Society is by participating in Relay For Life events around the country.
