Volunteer Opportunities (choose one)

Relay Recess/Relay Field Day presents an opportunity for a school community to engage in raising funds for the mission of the American Cancer Society. Relay Recess/Relay Field Day Coordinators are typically teachers or administrators at the school where the event is held, or they are able to meet with administration to secure permission for the event.

Bark For Life allows dog-lovers to support the mission of the American Cancer Society with their canine companions at their side. Bark for Life volunteers are responsible for leading all aspects of the event, including recruitment of the planning committee and participants, as well as securing access to a dog-friendly event site.

Relay For Life Corporate is designed for corporations to raise funds for the American Cancer Society through their work community. The Relay For Life Corporate Lead Volunteer typically works for an employer who has interest in this type of event, has access to the right people to secure permission to hold the event at work, and is empowered to recruit committee members, team captains, and participants from the worksite.

Designed for active duty members of our military to directly engage their bases/units in raising funds and awareness for the mission of the American Cancer Society. Volunteers in this role are required to be on active duty military, on a U.S. military base, or have access to base leadership to secure permission to hold the event. The Relay For Life Military Lead Volunteer is willing to lead the event, including recruitment of committee members and participants.
