2009 High Plains Media Awards

Media coverage plays a significant role in public beliefs, attitudes, and behaviors related to health. Your stories have informed us, touched us, and urged us to take action.

To recognize your role as a journalist in the public awareness and survivorship of cancer, the American Cancer Society is proud to present the 27th annual media awards program to honor excellence in communications about cancer.

Your stories have informed us, touched us, and encouraged us to take action, and even saved lives! We can not think of any better way to thank you than to recognize your important role as a journalist in the area of public awareness and the survivorship of cancer. And there is no better way for you to get recognized than to submit your cancer-related news or feature story today to the Society's 2010 High Plains Media Awards competition. We are now accepting entries.

All entries must be postmarked by July 9, 2010. To enter, click here.
