Green Mountain donates Keurigs and coffee to Hope Lodges

Our three Hope Lodges in New England are homes away from home for hundreds of cancer patients and their families each year. Guests save on hotel and transportation expenses, and have a welcoming place to return to after tiring cancer treatments. But it’s the little details - like having a hot cup of coffee in the early morning hours or sleeping in on soft cotton sheets - that make the Lodge really feel like home.

Details like this are often supplied by corporate donors, whose in-kind donations are essential to keeping Lodge operating costs low and guest satisfaction high.

Green Mountain Coffee is a major supporter of the Hope Lodge program in New England. They recently donated three Keurig commercial brewers, one for each of the Lodges, as well as K cups and coffee each month.

“We are so grateful for the donations from Green Mountain,” said Bryan Harter, LICSW, MBA, senior director of the Hope Lodge Program in New England. “Thanks to their incredible generosity, we are able to provide amenities that go above and beyond. They help us provide our guests with the best possible experience at the Lodge during times in their lives when it matters the most."

Green Mountain is part of a long list of corporate donors to the Lodge, which includes Homegoods, a subsidiary of TJX, Winston Flowers, and Whirlpool. The New England Lodges are always collecting in-kind donations.
