Hope Lodges are places of caring, accepting and most of all, hope.
Facing cancer is hard. Having to travel out of town for treatment can make it even harder. Yet the American Cancer Society has a place where cancer patients and their caregivers can find help and hope when home is far away – an American Cancer Society Hope Lodge.
The Hope Lodge provides cancer patients and caregivers with free temporary lodging close to treatment centers. At Hope Lodge, patients get emotional and social support from other people going through similar experiences and are supported by caring staff and volunteers. Each Hope Lodge caters to patients who live 40 plus miles, or more than one hour, from their treatment center.
