Tom Jones
Redwood Falls, MN

"I went through 48 treatments," said Tom Jones, who moved into the Hope Lodge after hearing about it from the doctor caring for him at the Mayo Clinic.

Jones said his Hope Lodge experience was a very positive one, as he was given the chance to eat meals together with other cancer patients. Whether they were going through the same kind of cancer as him or not, there was still a connection made between those who had received the cancer diagnosis.

Being in a home-like setting with others facing the same battle provides comfort, said Jones, because you know you are not facing things alone. "We sometimes just sit for meals and talk with each other about different things and talk about how everyone is feeling," said Jones. "We became one big family."

"When you leave through that front door, you know you are never going to forget what happened at Hope Lodge," said Jones.
