Eric J. Jacobs, PhD
Strategic Director, Pharmacoepidemiology

Eric Jacobs  Dr. Jacobs earned a B.A. in biological sciences from the University of Chicago in 1989 and worked until 1991 for a Washington D.C. consulting firm specializing in environmental toxicology and epidemiology. From 1991-96 he completed M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Epidemiology at the University of Washington in Seattle and also worked at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center.   He joined the American Cancer Society's Epidemiology Research Program in 1996.
 
Research Interests
 
Dr Jacobs' research interests include the potential effects of common medications, including aspirin and statins, on risk of cancer, and the epidemiology of colorectal, prostate, and pancreatic cancer.
