Ask Your Child’s Doctor

Prepare for the visit with your child’s doctor. Keep in mind these general vaccination guidelines6:

  • HPV vaccination is recommended for both boys and girls between the ages of 9 and 12 years.
  • Children and young adults age 13 through 26 who have not been vaccinated, or who haven’t gotten all their doses, should get the vaccine as soon as possible.
  • Children need 2 or 3 doses depending on age at initial vaccination.
