Fundraise for the American Cancer Society on your campus
HOST OR ATTEND AN EVENT
Relay For Life
Relay For Life is the signature fundraiser for the American Cancer Society. Relay is staffed and coordinated by volunteers in more than 2,000 communities and 30 countries who give their time and effort to help fight cancer in their communities.
Making Strides Against Breast Cancer
What unites us, ignites us. Together, we can make a difference and help save lives from breast cancer.
DetermiNation
Become part of the driving force behind our fight against cancer by competing in your favorite sporting event. Whether running, cycling, skiing, or even doing yoga, you can help us fight the unthinkable by being unstoppable.
Gold Together
The #GoldTogether movement was created from the passion and positive energy of Cole Eicher, a childhood brain cancer survivor and Relay For Life volunteer. His vision started with one Relay For Life team in St. Petersburg, Florida, and it quickly grew into more than 150 Gold Together Relay For Life teams fighting cancer to attack childhood cancer.
Host Your Own Fundraiser
Turn your passion into a fundraiser – however, wherever, whenever you want.
FUNDRAISE WITH YOUR SPORTS TEAM
Football
Participating youth football clubs work to extend the reach of the National Football League’s national Crucial Catch program through local grassroots efforts focused on promoting cancer screenings, honoring cancer survivors, and planning special in-stadium or pre-game events in partnership with the American Cancer Society.
Soccer
Help the American Cancer Society defeat the world's biggest opponent by uniting the global game of soccer in the fight against cancer. Together with Red Card Cancer, we are committed to raising money and awareness for cancer research by engaging and working with all levels of the greater soccer community.
Hockey
Hockey Fights Cancer™ unites the hockey community in support of cancer patients and their families, inspiring hope and courage for those who are living with, going through, and moving past cancer. HFC Assist engages youth and local hockey teams between the ages of 6 and 18 years old to raise funds and awareness through activities held between November and April.
Basketball
The American Cancer Society and the National Association of Basketball Coaches have teamed up in the fight against cancer. Youth, high school, and league basketball teams across the country support these efforts each year by raising funds and awareness. Don’t sit on the bench. Join in to make a difference in the fight against cancer.
All Other Sports
Any sports team can fight back against cancer. From Tennis, Volleyball, Diving, or Water Polo, if your sports team wants to help fight cancer, we have a program for you.
VIRTUAL FUNDRAISING
Gamers vs. Cancer
Whether you’re a gamer, developer, publisher, esports organization, or creator, the American Cancer Society invites you to get involved by taking part in a livestream fundraising event, organizing a gaming tournament, and more.
Relay For Life Second Life
If you don’t have a Relay For Life event on your campus, you can still join our Relay community by participating in a virtual Relay event through our vibrant Second Life community.
Fight Cancer by Volunteering
ADVOCACY
Great American Smoke Out
Join the American Cancer Society on the third Thursday in November and host a Great American Smokeout event on your campus to encourage others to quit smoking – reducing their cancer risk and taking an important step toward a healthier life.
ACS CAN Junior Fighters
ACS CAN is an advocacy affiliate of the American Cancer Society that works with legislators to enact laws and policies that make cancer a top national priority. Our new Junior Cancer Fighter activity center provides elementary and middle school-age children and their parents (and grandparents) with a series of fun and educational activities to help them learn about advocacy and fighting cancer.
GENERAL
Give Your Time
As an American Cancer Society volunteer, you can honor a survivor or a loved one lost to cancer while helping to save the lives of people in your local community and around the world.
Work and Save Lives
In partnership with OthrSource, volunteers can apply to be brand helpers. Each shift earns a paycheck for the volunteer as well as a paycheck for the American Cancer Society. Volunteer and build your work resume; it's a win-win.
Love Notes Around the World
Love Notes Around The World is a volunteer-led platform where individuals and groups have opportunities to create, share, and/or send messages of compassion to cancer patients in treatment, caretakers, care providers, and others in need.
Cancer Awareness Creative Challenge
The Cancer Awareness Creative Challenge is a collaboration between Colorado-based nonprofit Catch It In Time and the American Cancer Society to bring cancer awareness to schools in a fun, engaging, and unexpected way. By encouraging high school students to create innovative and artistic ways to spread information–including video, music or podcasting, and graphic design–the Challenge brings together students’ interests and talents with life-saving information on cancer prevention.
