Brian Martorana

Vice President of Planned Giving, Region II

In his regional leadership role, Brian develops and oversees strategies to drive revenue growth through our major and mega gift campaigns in support of our enterprise-wide priorities. In collaboration with senior leadership and professional staff, Brian leads and mentors a professional team of fundraisers to leverage lead generation from individual and private foundations. Brian started his career with the American Cancer Society in 2008 as a planned giving director for the states of Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico and Utah. As a dedicated fundraiser, Brian received awards for the top performer nationwide and top performer in region two within the Planned Giving Business Unit. Raising over four million dollars annually in planned gifts, Brian attributes much of his success toward building relationships with donors, professional advisors, and our staff of mission and fundraising professionals.

Prior to joining ACS, Brian was president of a scientific equipment business for sixteen years where he supplied microscopes and biological supplies to the educational market nationwide. After selling his company he obtained an MBA from Youngstown State University and provided financial consulting to small businesses in Northeastern Ohio. Brian came to the American Cancer Society seeking an opportunity to utilize his entrepreneurial and financial skills to raise money for cancer research.
