Emily McNaughton

Director of Philanthropy

Region covered: Northern California

Emily is a Bay Area native who has been fundraising for cancer research and patient services since 2002. Her life was forever changed after hearing the story of a young boy named Ben who died of Leukemia at age 2, and she was motivated to make a difference in the fight against cancer. Since then, Emily has been lucky enough to work with volunteers at the American Cancer Society, helping to raise millions. Emily has supported Making Strides Against Breast Cancer, Golf and Gala Events, and Relay For Life Events all over Northern California. One of Emily’s favorite memories is helping start the first ever Relay For Life of Bermuda while on vacation back in 2012.  Since then, the funds raised at that event have exceeded $2million and have been used to build the first ever radiation center on the island.

In 2013 Emily's friend Jen was diagnosed with Stage 4 lung cancer at 35 years of age. Jen's diagnosis and unfortunate death less than one year later inspired Emily to further her efforts to build a strong network of people committed to ending cancer. Today, Emily is proud to work with the most influential donors in the San Francisco Bay Area & Silicon Valley to fund groundbreaking cancer research and resources for cancer patients locally and around the world.

Currently, Emily is working to fund over $5,000,000 in approved but unfunded cancer research at local institutions and $500,000 for Northern California’s transportation and lodging services. If you want to help, but aren’t sure how, give Emily a call today!

In addition to being passionate about fighting cancer, Emily is active in the technology and venture capital (VC) community.
