Amy Akins

Amy earned her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Oklahoma Baptist University and received a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Central Oklahoma, then earned the Certified Trust and Financial Advisor (CTFA) designation. Amy started her career as a Trust Officer in the nonprofit sector, focusing on personal trusts, wills, gift annuities, and CRTs, then shifted her focus to corporate giving and annual campaigns as Director of Development. This has given her a deep understanding of how to best serve those who wish to use a planned giving vehicle in a way that creates the biggest impact possible for ACS. Amy’s background has made her passionate about the importance of planned gifts and bequests for continuing the work of the American Cancer Society.

In her free time, Amy enjoys hiking through Idaho's backcountry, skiing, and traveling with her husband.
