Brian Martorana

Vice President of Estate and Gift Planning, Region II

Brian Martorana is the Vice President, Planned Giving Region 2. In this leadership role, Brian leads and mentors a professional team of planned giving fundraisers throughout the West, South, North, and North Central Regions. He partners with a team of directors while developing and overseeing planned giving efforts in support of the Society's enterprise wide priorities.

Prior to his current role, Brian was the first Vice President of Major Gifts at the American Cancer Society, where he developed a nationwide major gift team of directors focused on individual, foundation, and corporate major gifts. He held this position from January 2014 through 2017.

Brian started his career with the American Cancer Society in 2008 as a planned giving director for the states of Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico and Utah. As a dedicated fundraiser, Brian received awards for the top performer nationwide and top performer in region two within the Planned Giving Business Unit. Raising over four million dollars annually in planned gifts, Brian attributes much of his success toward building relationships with donors, professional advisors, and our staff of mission and fundraising professionals.

Prior to joining ACS, Brian was president of a scientific equipment business for sixteen years where he supplied microscopes and biological supplies to the educational market nationwide. After selling his company he obtained an MBA from Youngstown State University and provided financial consulting to small businesses in Northeastern Ohio. Brian came to the American Cancer Society seeking an opportunity to utilize his entrepreneurial and financial skills to raise money for cancer research
