Emily Karr serves as the Director of Estate and Gift Planning based in West Palm Beach, Florida. After learning of her aunt’s cancer diagnosis, she began volunteering for the Society and after quickly falling in love with our mission and work, she left the world of teaching to pursue a career with the American Cancer Society in 2013.

Since then, Emily has held various roles within the Society. She has had the privilege to work with dedicated and passionate staff, volunteers, and donors through our Distinguished Events and Relay For Life programs in Martin, St. Lucie, Palm Beach, Okeechobee, Sarasota, Manatee, Pinellas, and Hillsborough Counties. Emily’s latest endeavor before joining the Planned Giving Team was launching the Society’s first young professional group in the state; The Associate Board of Ambassadors based in Tampa Bay. Emily has a passion for growing relationships with professional advisors, donors, and nonprofits to help create lasting legacies that save lives and further our mission.

Emily and her husband, Chris, love spending time with their daughter, Caroline. Together they enjoy attending as many FSU football games as possible, and time on the water fishing and boating.
