Director of Estate and Gift Planning
Region covered: New Jersey
Jamie has had the privilege of spending her career with the American Cancer Society, serving in a variety of staff capacities for over ten years. She started as a Community Representative with the Florida Division in 2006, staffing Relay For Life and Making Strides Against Breast Cancer events. During her 3.5 years in this role, Jamie was responsible for building volunteer committees and successfully implementing these community events which raised a collective $1.5million. Upon relocating back to the Northeast in 2010, Jamie transitioned to the Health Initiatives team in Philadelphia, managing Quality of Life services and building partnerships with hospitals in the city. During this time, the number of patients served through volunteer driving programs in Philadelphia increased by 260% thanks in large part to a unique program called PhillyPatientRide which matches volunteer drivers with car-sharing vehicles. Jamie was an integral part of developing and implementing this new program which continues to serve patients today.
Most recently, Jamie has served in the role of Sr. Market Manager, Community Engagement for the Philadelphia market. She has provided market leadership for the 40+ staff who work in this market, while also serving as staff liaison for the local Volunteer Leadership Council and Young Professionals of the American Cancer Society (YPACS) Philadelphia Chapter. The development of YPACS is one of Jamie’s proudest recent accomplishments as we have been able to engage more than 100 new, young volunteers in the ACS mission and create new revenue sources through their group fundraising efforts. Another key element of this role has involved building partnerships through corporate account management, generating nearly $250k in the past two years through sponsorships, volunteer engagement, and grant opportunities.
One thing that has been consistent through Jamie’s career is her ability to build strong, trusting relationships with our constituents, volunteers, and donors, an asset that she is excited to bring to the Planned Giving team. She is thrilled to have the opportunity to continue furthering the mission of the ACS.
Jamie holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication from the University of Delaware. She and her husband reside in South Jersey with their young son and black lab. She enjoys yoga, running and spending as much time as possible at the beach.
