What Motivates Me
I’ve always had a passion for science, but my interest in cancer research was really sparked after multiple members of my family were diagnosed with various cancers . Their experiences inspired me to contribute to the prevention and cure of cancer. It is an honor to be a part of a team and organization, such as ACS, that makes a positive impact in the community through advocacy and education.”

As an Assistant Scientist in the Study Management group of Population Science, Aliyah Green, BS, collects new information from Cancer Prevention Study-3 (CPS-3) participants via phone and email to update their files. This role also allows her the opportunity to answer participants’ questions about the study and survey.
Green documents new cancer diagnoses reported by the participants and assists with quality control and data clean up to ensure accurate and reliable results.
