I’m motivated by the stories behind the statistics. In public health, real people’s experiences are often reduced to data points, but each number represents someone with a unique story. That reminder drives my commitment to advancing health equity. Through my work at the American Cancer Society, I am proud to support research that improves health outcomes for all.”
As the Study Partnerships Manager in the Population Science department, Kaela Jolibois, MPH, leads outreach and partnership development for the VOICES of Black Women Cohort Study at the American Cancer Society (ACS). She identifies and engages community partners to support the recruitment of participants for the VOICES study.
Before joining ACS, I supported communication efforts for diabetes management and other public health campaigns. I developed strategies that made complex health information more accessible and actionable. I have also contributed to research focused on the drivers of inequity in Black maternal health outcomes and the development of community-centered solutions.
I live in Atlanta, GA, and enjoy reading, traveling, exploring the city, and going to the farmers market on the weekends.
