VOICES of Black Women
VOICES of Black Women is a long-term study led by the Population Science team within the American Cancer Society (ACS). The VOICES study aims to enroll at least 100,000 Black women ages 25 to 55 in the United States who have never been diagnosed with cancer. The goal of this study is to better understand health conditions like cancer and how to improve overall health among Black women.

  Your VOICE Matters!
Black women have been historically underrepresented in research. VOICES of Black women will help fill in information gaps to expand the reach of research for generations to come.
For instance, VOICES data may be used to help:
- Advance scientific knowledge about health conditions that affect Black women.
 - Inform strategies for interventions to help Black women decrease their risk for certain diseases. Such interventions may focus on improving patient-provider communication and empowering Black women to be more active partners in their care.
 - Inform advocacy efforts that initiate, support, or expand health policies based on evidence-based research.

We will share research findings with you as they are published.
Information from the VOICES study will be used to improve the overall health of Black women for generations to come.
