Ruben A. Mesa, MD, FACP Bio

Ruben A. Mesa, MD, FACP, is president of the Advocate Health Cancer National Service Line and executive director of the National Cancer Institute–designated Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Comprehensive Cancer Center, where he leads enterprise-wide cancer strategy and care delivery. An internationally recognized hematologist-oncologist, he is known for advancing research and clinical care in myeloproliferative neoplasms and has authored hundreds of peer-reviewed publications. Dr. Mesa earned his MD from the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and holds academic leadership roles at Wake Forest University School of Medicine. A longtime partner to ACS and ACS CAN, Dr. Mesa has held volunteer and leadership roles with the organizations across Arizona, Texas, and North Carolina.
