Rob King

Senior Vice President, Enterprise Planning and Business Integration

As our senior vice president, Enterprise Planning and Business Integration, Rob King guides and ensures implementation of the Society’s long-term enterprise strategic planning process and assesses progress against our enterprise goals. He also leads the assessment of new business development opportunities, and provides support to the Chief Executive Officer in the development and execution of other priority initiatives and projects.

Rob previously served as the senior vice president, Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO), where he has been instrumental in developing, executing, and maintaining appropriate strategic and operational initiatives and processes. Since joining the Society in 2007, Rob has held a variety of leadership positions within OCFO and has served on countless workgroups and committees. Specifically, as national vice president, financial planning and analysis (FP&A), he led the group that established our first nationwide resource allocation planning and forecasting process, including a first-ever FP&A technology system.

Prior to joining the American Cancer Society, Rob worked with a division of The Home Depot where he served in a corporate controller role, leading the corporate accounting function as well as financial planning and analysis. In this role, Rob led finance due diligence teams as part of four separate acquisition transactions which helped grow the start-up Division to over $1 billion in annualized revenues. Prior to his stint at The Home Depot, Rob was with Delta Air Lines where he served in various financial planning and accounting roles on the operations finance team, most recently as general manager, Inventory Control where he helped lead the initial implementation of Sarbanes-Oxley for a $1 billion inventory cycle. Rob began his career with PricewaterhouseCoopers where he served various clients primarily in the nonprofit and healthcare sectors.

Rob received his Bachelor of Science degree in Accountancy from the University of Illinois and Masters of Business Administration from Emory University’s Goizueta Business School. He is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants.
