Deidre joined the American Cancer Society in December 2014. She is the Campaign Director in Dallas and is responsible for the fundraising efforts for the Hope Lodge capital campaign.
Most recently, she served as the Annual Giving Director for the Dallas Women’s Foundation where she was responsible for the annual giving strategy and developing and managing the annual giving program.
With more than 17 years of health care development experience, Deidre served as the Director of Donor Relations and Annual Programs with Parkland Foundation. During her six years with Parkland, she was a member of the leadership team for the I Stand for Parkland campaign – a $150 million capital campaign to build a new hospital. She oversaw the annual programs, donor relations, naming opportunities and events. One of her professional highlights was planning and executing the groundbreaking ceremony for the New Parkland.
From 1995 – 2006, Deidre was with Texas Health Resources and Presbyterian Healthcare Foundation serving in various roles including the Director of Annual Giving. During this time, she began the system-wide employee giving campaign, enhanced the direct mail program, expanded the tribute giving program at five hospitals, and held a portfolio of annual donors. In addition, she managed the event staff.
In 2010, she received the Profiles in Leadership Award from the SMU Women’s Symposium. Deidre is a member of several professional organizations as well as involved with numerous agencies in the community.
Outside of the office, Deidre enjoys time with her family, husband Chris, a landscape architect, and their two young boys. After many years in the Junior League of Dallas, Deidre is now a sustaining member. During her active years, she held several leadership positions including a term on the Board of Directors. Currently, she is an active member of Cattle Baron’s Ball raising critical funds for cancer research. Deidre received her Bachelor of Science from Texas A&M University.
