Joni Hart joined the American Cancer Society in February 2012 as a Director of Estate and Gift Planning. In August 2016, Joni transferred to the Philanthropy team. Joni has represented the American Cancer Society as president of the Rotary Club of Western Fort Worth and as president of the Lone Star Council of Charitable Gift Planners. She also holds a seat on the Women's Health Council at Baylor Scott & White All Saints Medical Center.

Joni earned a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Broadcasting from Oklahoma State University before beginning a career that included several roles in a full-service marketing communications agency in Dallas. She has been working to raise funds in support of cancer research and patient services in a professional capacity since August 2004. Although Joni is based in Ft. Worth, she is responsible for 103 Texas counties which reach as far as the New Mexico and Oklahoma borders.
