Katherine King

Senior Director of Philanthropy

Katherine King joined the American Cancer Society in June of 2017 as Senior Director of Major Gifts in New York City. In this role, she is responsible for fundraising efforts from Maine down to D.C., and oversees a team throughout the Northeast Region. Prior to joining ACS, Katherine spent time at the Central Park Conservancy, first as Associate Director of Major Gifts and then as Director of Corporate Development. Before joining the Conservancy, Katherine worked at Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts. During her time at LCPA, she held several development positions on the Corporate Fund, Sponsorship, and Individual Giving teams.

 Katherine was diagnosed with breast cancer in June of 2016 and spent the next year undergoing treatment. Upon completion of her treatment in 2017, Katherine felt compelled to join ACS in the fight against cancer. Now cancer-free, Katherine lives in Connecticut with her husband. As a volunteer, she serves on the Board of Directors for the ALS Association, CT Chapter.
