Linda Spielmann

Director of Philanthropy

Region Covered:  Florida - Indian River, Martin, Palm Beach, St. Lucie, and West Palm Beach

Linda Spielmann re-joined the American Cancer Society in June 2019. Linda previously worked for the organization in 2009 as an Area Executive Director for Palm Beach County overseeing two Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walks, three Boards, three Galas and thirty-six Relay for Life events. During that time, she was responsible for successfully achieving our goal of four-million, which had not been accomplished in several years. Originally from England, Linda has a Business Degree from Huddersfield University. Her hospitality career started in the North of England and continued in Bermuda at the Elbow Beach Resort, which then resulted in a move to the United States and working for various Marriott and Renaissance properties, a luxury branded hotel, the Seagate Hotel and Spa, and St. Andrews Country Club, a Distinguished Club of America. Some of the positions held during this time were Director of Leisure Sales, Director of Group Sales and Director of Catering.

Linda has a strong passion for the American Cancer Society as she is a twenty-three-year breast cancer survivor and was introduced to the organization from a visit from a Reach to Recovery volunteer, a role which Linda then took on for over eight years. She has been connected to the organization as a volunteer for twenty-two years and successfully chaired two Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walks, served on the South Palm County Board and assisted with numerous Gala events. As a resident of Boca Raton since 1986, Linda is a strong community advocate and passionately donates her time to assisting and chairing events for organizations such as Boy Scouts of America, March of Dimes, Alzheimer’s Community Care, the South Palm Beach County YMCA Inspiration Breakfast, Boca Raton Regional Hospital, Lynn Cancer Institute, and the Christine E. Lynn Women’s Health & Wellness Institute. Linda also currently sits on the Board of Alzheimer’s Community Care.

Linda is married to her husband Jean and has two sons, Chris and Richard. In her spare time, Linda loves to garden, read, travel and volunteer.
