Everybody knows someone who has been affected by cancer. Lisa is passionate about the mission of the American Cancer Society to save lives and fight for a world without cancer. As the Director of Major Gifts, Lisa’s aim is to connect individuals and foundations’ philanthropic and engagement missions to the work of the Society.

Throughout her career, Lisa has worked closely with community health locally and globally. Before coming to the American Cancer Society, Lisa worked as the Director of Advancement for United Family Medicine, a  community health center in St. Paul. There she was responsible for all fundraising, marketing, and communications. Lisa created a donor relations programs including launching the organization’s first endowment and re-engaging lapsed donors to the mission of the organization. She exponentially increased donor giving and engagement year after year. Previously, Lisa worked as Director of Development- Donor Relations for the Sabes Jewish Community Center, Development Manager for Children’s HeartLink and Development Manager for Healing Hands for Haiti.

Lisa is a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) and holds a Masters in International Development and Public Policy through Georgetown University, a Certificate in Fund Raising Management through Indiana University’s Lilly Family School of Philanthropy; and a Bachelors in International Relations from Boston University.

Lisa lives in St. Louis Park, Minnesota with her two sons, Asher and Simon and her cat, Sky. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, trying out new restaurants and being outside as much as possible! She is a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals and is on the Board of the St. Louis Park Public Schools Foundation.
