Michelle Bosau

Director of Philanthropy

Michelle brings more than 18 years of experience in fundraising, marketing communication, administration, and teaching. She comes to ACS from Oakland University, Rochester, MI, where she directed corporate and foundation fundraising.  Working closely with university leadership and deans, Michelle developed case statements for campaign priorities and led her team in securing $3.5 million annually. Prior to her role with Oakland University, Michelle was vice president of development and public relations for Neighborhood Service Organization, Detroit, where she led the development and communications department, and successfully developed and completed the organization’s capital campaign which raised $4 million, secured a $500,000 Kresge Challenge Grant, and doubled the number of individual donors in fewer than two years. Michelle has also held senior fundraising positions with United Way. 

Michelle is a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) and holds a Masters in Marketing Communication, University of Hartford; a post-graduate MBA Certificate in Entrepreneurship, Oakland University; and a Bachelors in Communication, Ohio University. Michelle has held teaching positions at the University of Alaska, Anchorage School of Journalism and Communication, and University of Hartford School of Communication.  Michelle and her husband, a retired Coast Guard officer, live near Detroit with their two sons.
