Prior to joining the Planned Giving team, Cathy Alsup served as Director of Major Gifts Campaigns, completing a $14 million dollar capital campaign to build Hope Lodge in Hawaii. Before joining the American Cancer Society, she was President of Marketing Solutions Hawaii and Principal of the FundDevelopment Group as a consultant in fundraising and marketing for non-profit clients throughout Hawaii.

In 2016, Cathy was awarded the Outstanding Professional Fundraiser for the Association of Fundraising Professionals - Aloha Chapter.  In 2015, she earned the prestigious CFRE professional designation from CFRE International, only one of 22 fundraisers in Hawaii with this level of certification. Cathy currently serves as President of the Board of Directors for the Association of Fundraising Professionals - Aloha Chapter. Her experience and expertise include planned giving, grant writing, annual giving, special events, capital campaigns, major gifts, strategic planning, board development, direct mail, public relations, database management, and marketing.
