Mike has over 5 years of experience with the American Cancer Society.  A native of the South Shore in Massachusetts, Michael has over 10 years of fundraising experience.

Mike started his professional career with the American Cancer Society as a Community Executive for Development.  Mike worked with four community and college Relay For Life events in Southeastern Massachusetts, with a combined portfolio of over $600,000.  In this role, Mike was able to grow the income portfolio of his events – a highlight of which was that he helped increase the fundraising total for the Relay For Life of Greater Taunton by $59,000. 

From there, Mike moved into the role of Senior Market Manager, Community Engagement.  Mike convened the Boston market to ensure collaboration across all departments.  He also managed account relationships with Boston-based partners, working with a portfolio of nearly $50,000 annually. Key partnerships for Mike included his relationships with the Boston Bruins, Perkin Elmer’s Molecular Groove, and his hospital relationships with Cambridge Health Alliance and Mount Auburn Hospital.

Other fundraising experience that Mike has includes his volunteer work as Executive Director of Elonthon Dance Marathon with Children’s Miracle Network.  Mike oversaw the dance marathon for three years, which engaged 1,200 students and raised $140,000 annually for Duke Children’s Hospital. 

Michael is a graduate of Elon University in North Carolina.  He also recently completed his graduate degree in Project Management from Northeastern University in Boston. 

In his spare time, Mike enjoys photography, running, and spending time with his rescue puppy.  He resides in Roslindale, MA.
