1. Sign up 
   
   Consent to join the substudy using the VOICES of Black Women portal.
   
   
2. Schedule your blood draw 
   
   Receive a kit in the mail, which will include all materials needed for your blood collection. It will also include instructions for how to make an appointment with an ACS lab partner at a location that is convenient for you.
   
   
3. Get your blood drawn 
   
   Bring your collection kit to your blood draw appointment. A medical professional will draw 30ml (about 2 tablespoons) of blood. This is similar to the amount drawn during a routine doctor's visit. The medical professional may also collect your physical measurements.
   
   
4. Take a survey 
   
   Take a brief survey on the portal within 24 hours after your blood draw. This survey will ask about recent behaviors prior to the draw, including what medications you're taking and when you had your last meal before giving blood.
   
   
5. Redeem your $40 e-gift card 
   
   Once we receive your blood sample and process your survey, you will receive instructions on how to redeem your $40 e-gift card as a thank you for your participation.
