Program Manager, Global Cancer Treatment

Global Cancer Treatment Program Manager Justine Swindell manages the implementation of the chemotherapy safety training program (ChemoSafe) and provides support for key collaborations with the African Cancer Coalition, IBM
Citizenship and the Clinton Health Access Initiative.

Justine has always been passionate about improving health systems so that they better serve under represented communities. Prior to joining the American Cancer Society Justine worked for Columbia University Medical Center in the Division of Pulmonary Allergy and Critical Care Medicine where she coordinated graduate and continuing medical education training programs, research grants and clinical staffing. During this time, she also coordinated the implementation of a
pulmonary care graduate education program for the World Lung Foundation (now Vital Strategies) in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

Justine has an MA in Sociology from the Catholic University of America and a BS in Business Management from Guilford College. She was a United Nations Association Fellow in 2014.
