Global Health Care Provider Support
As compared to the United States, with one oncologist per 137 cancer patients, oncologists in low- and middle-income countries are caring for thousands of patients each, while also lacking the appropriate hospital infrastructure. We have a multipronged approach to supporting health care providers and professionals in implementing hospital strengthening initiatives that improve cancer services and outcomes.
Workforce Strengthening
Comprehensive infrastructure development can avert 14 times the number of cancer deaths in low- and middle-income countries as compared to high-income countries. We create sustainable quality improvement trainings adapted to the local context that strengthen health systems.
Regional Coalitions
We have a long history of working with local partners to optimize efforts, build consensus, and maximize connectivity. A key component of the Global Academy is supporting networks such that providers can coalesce best practices, collectively strengthen health systems and feel less isolated. Through the Global Academy, we aim to further collaborative networks to build synergistic work.
ACS Global Academy
Our global team develops dynamic and practical resources for use in diverse settings across the cancer continuum of care. The Global Academy provides access to these resources with a focus on sustainable approaches to not only Learn but also Take Action.
