1967

Over the last 50 years, Bank of America has provided mission related support to the American Cancer Society in the form of grants, sponsorships, matching gifts, and volunteerism.

Bank of America supports the American Cancer Society in many ways:

  • In 2015, The American Cancer Society was a receipt of a $50,000 grant from the Bank of America Charitable Foundation to support critical transportation to cancer treatment programs in Dallas, TX. This grant falls under the basic need priority focus area for the Bank of America Charitable Foundation and is a major relief to patients that face access to care.
  • Various local markets have supported some of the American Cancer Society’s most distinguished events to include participation as a year over year Diamond Sponsor at the $25,000 level in the Financial Services Cares Gala located in New York City. As a 2016 event sponsor, Bank of America is joined by an elite group of financial institutions that have banned together in the Fight Against Cancer raising over $2.2 million dollars.
  • Employees have been able to support the American Cancer Society through the Bank of America Charitable Foundation Matching Gifts program raising millions of dollars over the last five years.
  • Bank of America Community Volunteer Leaders have served on boards, lead regional Relay For Life and/or Making Strides Against Breast Cancer engagement initiatives as well as volunteering hundreds of hours to impact local communities.
