Global Cancer Support

The global cancer incidence is expected to nearly double in the next 3 decades, with the majority of deaths occurring in low- and middle-income countries due to a lack of education, cancer care infrastructure, and health care providers. We use our extensive technical expertise to enable in-country partners to build sustainable solutions across the cancer care continuum.

Understanding the Global Cancer Burden

Cancer rates are climbing fastest in places with the fewest resources. In many low- and middle-income countries (LMIC), people lack access to vaccines and screening, are often diagnosed too late, and face limited options for treatment, pain relief, and support. This gap in care is driving a disproportionate share of the global cancer burden.

More Resources

Global Story Map

To further explore the extent and reach of our global work, the Reducing Global Disparities to Cancer Care "Story map" is an immersive application that provides intuitive, interactive map interfaces with an integrated narrative. The story map is the result of a collaboration between the ACS Geospatial Solutions and the ACS Global Cancer Support teams and uses ESRI mapping and spatial technology.
