Cancer Specialists Gather to Discuss Innovations in Research and Treatment

More than 30,000 cancer specialists from around the world are gathering in Chicago this week for the 53rd annual meeting of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO). The event runs from June 2nd through June 6th. It features the latest advances in clinical cancer research.

News announced during each meeting includes the latest findings from cancer clinical trials, including new drug studies, which could change current standards of care.

This year’s meeting will focus on the theme Making a Difference in Cancer Care With You, emphasizing ASCO's role in improving the care of people who are at risk for cancer, who have cancer, or who have survived cancer.
