Cancer Specialists Gather to Discuss Innovations in Research and Treatment

More than 39,000 cancer specialists from around the world are gathering in Chicago this week for the 55th annual meeting of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO). The event runs from May 31st  through June 4th. It features the latest advances in clinical cancer research.

News announced during each meeting includes the latest findings from cancer clinical trials, including new drug studies, which could change current standards of care.

This year’s meeting will focus on the theme Caring for Every Patient, Learning from Every Patient, addressing the need to provide every patient with equal access to the highest quality of care.
