The guidelines were developed by a multidisciplinary expert workgroup using current evidence and expert consensus. Existing guidelines for health promotion, surveillance for prostate cancer recurrence, screening for second primary cancers, and symptom management were referenced when available. The guidelines discuss recommendations for health promotion, surveillance for prostate cancer recurrence, screening for second primary cancers, assessment and management of physical and psychosocial long-term and late effects of prostate cancer and its treatment, and care coordination.
