Who's Certified: The public can verify the board certification status, location by city and state, and specialty of any physician certified by one or more of the 24 Member Boards of the American Board of Medical Specialties.

American Medical Association

Doctor Finder: Has information on virtually every licensed physician in the United States and its possessions, including doctors of medicine (MD) and doctors of osteopathy or osteopathic medicine (DO).

Association of State Medical Board Executive Directors

DocFinder: The health professional licensing database provided by Administrators in Medicine (AIM) and its participating boards. It has licensing and disciplinary information about physicians in the states where they practice.

American College of Surgeons

Find a Surgeon: People can find surgeons by location, specialty (such as colorectal surgery) and subspecialty (such as breast surgery).

American Society of Clinical Oncology

Find a Cancer Doctor: Patients can search the database of American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) members by the doctor's name, practice location, and medical specialty certification.

American Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology (ASTRO)

RT Answers:  Patients can search the radiation oncologist database by the doctor's practice location and interest in specific types of cancer. It includes an overview of radiation therapy, a searchable database of radiation oncologists, and answers to frequently asked questions. 

American Society of Hematology (ASH)

Find a Hematologist: A service that helps people with blood cancers (lymphoma, leukemia and multiple myeloma) and other blood disorders find hematologists in their area.

American Brain Tumor Association (ABTA)

Find a Brain Tumor Center: People can search for brain tumor treatment centers in different parts of the United States.

Society of Gynecologic Oncology

Seek a Specialist: People can find specialists in gynecologic cancers (such as ovarian, uterine, cervical, vulvar and vaginal cancers) in their area.

Society of Urologic Oncology

Find a Provider: People with urologic cancers (such as prostate, bladder, kidney, testicular and penile cancers) can find a specialist in their area.
