Senior Principal Scientist, Surveillance Research

Jiemin Ma, PhD, MHS, is a senior principal scientist of surveillance research at the American Cancer Society. Dr. Ma’s research focuses on cancer disparities and evaluation of the impact of cancer interventions, such as tobacco control and screening, on cancer incidence and mortality among different populations. Prior to his current position, Dr. Ma began his career at the American Cancer Society as a senior Epidemiologist in 2010. During 1999-2004, he worked at the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention and the Peking Union Medical College as an assistant research scientist. Dr. Ma has authored over 50 peer-reviewed publications and several invited book chapters.
