Data Manager

Naomi Maruta, MBA, MPH, joined the Statistics & Evaluation Center (SEC) of the American Cancer Society in October 2016. In her new role as SEC Data Manager, Ms. Maruta’s responsibilities include managing and analyzing data for geospatial research, survey panels, program evaluation, and business analytics initiatives. Ms. Maruta supports research conducted by the SEC’s strategic directors and collaborates with various departments across the Society to support the SEC’s portfolio of work and other Society programs and initiatives.    

Ms. Maruta began her career at the Society in 2003 with the Best Practices Initiative, where she conducted performance benchmarking for corporate fundraising channels and workplace wellness programs. From 2005 to 2014, Ms. Maruta held various roles in several departments within the American Cancer Society, including the Employer Initiative, where she supported national corporate partner engagements; the Office of Strategy, where she performed competitive research for high profile programs such as the CEOs Against Cancer program; and Sales Force Operations, where she worked cross-functionally with business owners across the organization to operationalize resources and activities related to activation, fulfillment and implementation of sales.

Ms. Maruta holds a B.B.A. degree in Finance from Georgia State University, an M.B.A. from Emory University’s Goizueta School of Business, and an M.P.H. from Emory University’s Rollins School of Public Health.  In addition to her roles at the American Cancer Society, Ms. Maruta’s professional background includes experience in group medical insurance at UnumProvident, healthcare revenue cycle consulting at Ernst & Young LLP, pharmaceutical sales operations at Pharmacia Corporation, and workforce health consulting at Kaiser Permanente.
